    WOW JUST WOW
First of all this is the best bang foe your buck dslr /laptop.lets explain!!1.Design.. This is a very minimalistic backup. It doesnt scream (steall me). And the branding is limited too. Just an amazonbasics badge(which i left but you can remove it with a knife),and the zippers. With dont show much. Now the bag is perfect for the adventurous photographer. It has a waist belt and chest belt which PERFECTLY balances the weight all photography gear can put. I loved that. When i went hiking with this bag wow i notice the big different. All the straps are still in tact which is a big difference from all my other camera bags from before! Now it has a tripod strap and boy is it durable!!!! It hold my Manfrotto 190 new series great. And after the hike i revised it to see if the straps had rip of anything. And to my surprise their was nothing!! Although, the balance between left and right was a little off since the tripod straps are to the right i was tilting slighty to the right. But no biggy. It not like your a trapeze. And well if you are this bag is not for you.Now the both sides have pockets NOT to put water. They are better for memory cards or earbuds and other small things. Now the part where your back and the backpack meet is the most comfortable spot of the backpack(because it should be).Now it foam but very breathable foam and does fewl like a hassle. And aren't cumbersome just the right amount of comfort. And as an added bonus it can be attached to the tripod hook to make a tripod more sturdy. The hooks are on the straps that go over your shoulder. Double hook!!!2 interior :their are there sectionFirst section smallestThsi is the compartment you put your card reader, batteries, usb, pen, paper, and her doodads us photgraphers have. On the inside thwir are two sides (check 1st photo for refrence) the left side it very strong as the fabrics should be holds all my batteries and wires. Is just as useful or even more.2nd section. Where the camera goes. The velcro dividers are removeable so it fits any needs. Some reviewers put that the velcro comes off. Well it not the backpacks fault it gravity. My advice; put your heaviest equipment on the bottom avoid that. It worked for me. It is has very reasonable padding to protect all your equipment. And no their is not a side pocket to remove the camera quickly from the side. 😢3rd section it where you would put your computer editing gear i only have a 12inch tavlet that i edit my picture with and their is still a ton of room left. Protect all your gear.Bottom line get it.!!!It is the best bag you can get for this price. Their alot of bang for your buck. I hope this help you out with your decision.P. S. GET THE ORANGE VERSION BECAUSE YOU FIND EVERYTHING VERY QUICK YOU CAN NOTICE ALL I HAVE IN IT.

I rarely post product reviews....but I promised myself that if this pack held up on my trip then I would have to post about it. So here I am. Just purchased and used this pack for a one-month trip to Australia/NZ in Feb. I was definitely skeptical of the durability because the price was so great....but now that I'm back from my trip I can confidently state that this is an incredible value and I can easily give this a 5-star rating!!

SPACE: If you are like me, you want to know first and foremost what can it fit. Well, I packed this thing to the rim with all of my electronics including a Mavic Drone, 15" Mac Laptop, iPad Pro 12.9" in a case with a Apple Pencil, Nikon 360 Cam, Go Pro Hero 5, 2 iPhones, Drone Controller, 2 Drone Batteries, 2 Drone Chargers, 2 extra Go Pro Batteries & Charger, 2 extra 360 Cam Batteries and Charger, 4 Selfie Sticks, 1 Andoer Pistol Grip Cam Mount, several Go Pro accessories including chest mount, helmet mounts, dash mount, charging cables for ALL of the items listed above including my laptop adaptor, a 3" x 7" x 12" foam/zipper case to protect some of the small gear, some extra memory cards and finally a very solid, 6lb (24") Velbon W-Lift Tripod strapped to the outside.

TOTAL WEIGHT: I weighed this once before I left and I believe I was just under 30lbs.

PROTECTION: With a drone packed in here, I was definitely concerned about the pack holding up. Well, I can tell you the padded walls did their job. They are extremely sturdy and because they are velcro I was able to customize them to fit perfectly around the drone and other gear. Note: The pack was definitely squished with a lot of other gear. But I took care not to place it under 50lb+ suitcases. Again, I'm not a product tester and I wasn't looking to TEST the capability.

DURABILITY: Not one single rip, tear or even the sound of a tear occurred. And again, I was skeptical so I was definitely expecting something to give out. I did not baby this thing...as I was in rain (sometimes heavy), muddy jungle trails, sandy beaches, direct sun, you name it. It did get some mud on it...but wiped away once it dried and you'd never even know it had touched mud. I was worried about the high temps (85-95F + high humidy) especially in the direct sun, but...every time I opened this bag...my gear felt cool. So, an unexpected surprise. Note: I did NOT use the rain cover for this thing and water never leaked in.....however I would definitely utilize it if you know rain is coming. The rain surprised me a few times....and I stressed out when the heavy rains hit us....but I was pleasantly surprised that everything inside stayed dry when I got back to my car. Note: I did not have this in heavy rain for more than about 10-15 minutes at a time. Another side note: I carried this many different ways, I used the handle up top, I used one strap over my shoulder, and other times I used the full two straps and the buckle around my torso. So, all of the main components were definitely put to the test. Again, I'm still rather impressed that nothing ripped.

USAGE: I used this first and foremost as a carry-on. 6 total flights. I transported it to every single location, every single day and yes, I did small hikes with it as well. All told I was on this adventure for the entire month of Feb...and went to over 20+ different locations including remote, sandy Islands in GBR, picturesque trails and beaches in AU/NZ, river bungee jumping, mountain luging, light tropical jungle hikes (no major ascents), full day beach trips, farm stays, big city hikes....this thing never left my side.

COMFORT: I carried around all day and the only time it got uncomfortable was when I had it draped over one shoulder for long periods. The full weight of the pack on one shoulder I think was a bit too much. So, I simply put on both straps and it instantly fixed the comfort issue. Keep in mind, while I was constantly moving every single day, this was not used as a rough "hiking pack" for long, arduous, high-ascending hikes. It was used for everyday transportation....as we moved from location to location. I carried water in the outside pockets a few times....and of course it did meet with rocks, mud, sand, etc......but I did NOT abuse it or throw it around for obvious reasons.

FINAL THOUGHTS: OK, for those wondering why I would pack so much expensive gear in such a cheap case...well, I was originally trying to purchase a more expensive Manfrotto pack from a guy on craigslist...but when too much time went by between communications, I purchased this as my backup in case the deal fell through. Once I received it and packed it up....I ended up deciding to just roll with it. I was already blowing so much money on other pieces of the trip.....so, it felt nice to finally save a little money for a change. And for the money...I just don't see how you can beat it. It definitely exceeded my expectations. This was easily the best valued purchase I made. Hopefully you have a similar experience.

Wow; I just got back from hauling this bag around South America and Antarctica for 3 weeks, and it is fantastic. I wanted something that would hold my camera equipment, work as a carry on, and not be uncomfortable. This bag was great on all fronts. The large opening has nice padding for your camera and related equipment. It is a little annoying that you have to lay the bag down and open it flat to pick out an item, but this still worked fine for me. I was also able to put in a ton of stuff that I wanted safe in my carry-on using the front and back pouches. The back pouch was great for tablets, books, papers, etc. that are tall and skinny. The front pouch has great dividers in it to hold onto smaller items in an organized fashion. There are also a couple side pouches, which I used mainly for cords. I was hopeful that they might hold a water bottle, but they are a bit small for that. I did not use the tripod holders, but it is a feature as well. The bag was very comfortable. Many bags exacerbate a shoulder condition I have, but this one, with its waist and chest straps and lots of cushioning, did not hurt to wear. A rain cover is included which will cover the part of the bag that isn't on your back. It was nice to know that I had this, although I didn't find it very practical to use for my purposes. The bag seems sturdy, and held up well. I expect to be able to use it for many years to come.

The best thing about this bag is that you get all of this for such a fantastic price. Other similar bags seemed to cost significantly more. I was very happy with my choice to get this one.

This is a great camera bag. There may be some higher quality bags out there, but definitely not for the price.

      SIZE:
My 15 inch laptop goes in no problem. There are plenty of separate pockets for memory cards, queue cards, pens, pocket knives, etc. All of the slots are rearrangeable to some degree (really not many better variations that I can think of) and there are two additional straps included to help secure something extra if needed. As the setup comes, it snugly fits the 18-135mm in the lens sections, and fits my Canon T5i in the main slot with a tiny bit more wiggle room than I would hope, that's where I use the extra straps. The flap opens all the way so you can easily reach every compartment or leave it open sitting with the compartments facing upward.

      QUALITY:
The zippers are very secure. Reminds me of something you would find on a tent because it doesn't look like the stitching will come loose with further use. The straps are secure. They are not over-sized, but not so small to where they will dig into the shoulders too much. The canvas seems to be good quality. I don't have any visible markings on it yet since but have mostly just been using it walking around parks, cities, etc. and throwing it around in my car. I imagine the fabric isn't indestructible, but great for what you pay. The bottom has some decent padding so I am not afraid of setting it down. The side walls and wall closest to your back are pretty much double layered because of the felt and canvas layers, but I would be careful that anything doesn't come down to hard on these portions or the wall of the bag that makes up the flap. (You cold always stuff the pockets for more padding, I suppose!)

      LOOKS:
The backpack is pretty nondescript, which I think looks pretty professional and can be a benefit for blending in when needed. It retains its shape (pretty close to what you see in the pic) because of the compartment structure, so it definitely looks like a case of some sort rather than a normal backpack. The orange felt on the inside, while not the prettiest of colors, is important to me because it contrasts well with mostly black camera gear, so when you drop an SD card it's a breeze seeing where it fell.

Overall, great quality, strongest feature is the price and the safety/convenience it adds to my camera gear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Premium Quality Bag at an Affordable Price!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 20, 2020
I love this bag! For a relatively cheap and affordable camera bag, this one is brilliant. It's super ergonomic and comfortable to wear, the straps really help to correct your posture and lighten the load. Inside the bag, there is plenty of space for your camera gear, and when I went to Morocco, this was the only bit of luggage I took with me, and it was able to carry my main camera gear as well as all of my clothes and other assorted items I had with me for the trip. The tripod straps in the side are extremely useful for carrying a tripod, but if your bag is empty, you may want to consider putting slightly heavier items in the opposite side of the bag to counter the weight. Not a big issue, just a small thing to note that may affect some user's experience. For me I often don't fill up this bag to the max, but I love the space it offers and as the dividers are reconfigurable/removable, it allows you to easily make it work specifically for your use case scenario. There is also a laptop compartment, this feels fairly snug, so your laptop won't go shaking around in there, but still enough space for slightly thicker laptops. For a photographer that loves to carry lots of gear with them, this so the perfect bag on a budget! I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was made and you really get a great quality bag for a very low (in terms of professional camera bags) price. The zips are solid metal and the fabric is thick! The surface of the bag seems like it could withstand some rain but it does come with a waterproof cover which does what it's supposed to. There is also a smaller front section in which you can house all of your smaller accessories such as filters, data storage devices, pens, cleaning equipment for your camera and whatever else dots in there. In summary, it's a brilliant bag and considering the price compared to some more premium options, this bag pretty much has it all. You should note though, it is quite big; it fits into most hand luggage requirements, but on day to day travels some people may find it it a bit big. Personally, I quite like the size and it means I always have space for my gear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, Amazon has done it again and give us a great deal!
Reviewed in Canada on September 2, 2017
What a great deal! AmazonBasics has made a great bag, it's of the quality of the much more expensive bags that cost $160-200! Nice padding inside, easy to move the panels around to suit your needs. It's divided into 3 sections, a front section which has lots of pockets for things, including a zipper mesh pocket. The main middle compartment, and then there is a back section that you could fit papers in.

      Pros:
      - can't beat the price
      - high quality materials
      - great padding
      - quite large, can hold a lot of gear
      - dedicated pockets for pens and smaller items
      - two side pockets
      - lots of straps for attaching tripod and other items
      - chest strap and support straps
      - great back padding and shoulder strap padding
      - rain cover included in the back section
      - the bag looks more like a regular backpack on the outside so people won't suspect that it holds expensive gear. You'll blend in better, and not stand out to thieves if you're doing street photography.

      Cons:
      - the front section and back sections are not padded in any way, only the main middle compartment
      - the front section has only one zippered mesh pocket. So a lot of items need to go in there so they don't move around. The other pockets you can't put much in since the items will slide out if the bag is thrown around or held upside down.
      - the front and back sections are also very skinny, you can't fit much in them without the bag bulging from those pockets. Basically anything wider than an inch would need to go into the main compartment and not the other sections. They are meant more so for papers and thin items like filters or SD cards. Which is not a big deal. Just don't expect to put batteries and big items in those sections.
      - not waterproof, but does come with a rain cover
      - zippers are nice quality, but I wish that the zipper pull had a large enough hole to thread a security lock through so I could lock the main compartment when on video shoots.

Minor things to complain about, this bag is amazing for the price and suits my main need of needing to store all my equipment in a nicely padded bag without breaking the bank!

      Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent DSLR bag- Go for it !!

This is a very good DSLR bag available in market for affordable price with great features. First of all, thanks to Amazon for fastest shipping.
The item received was matching the product description. Best thing about bag is its build quality and space available for keeping the gear. I can easily keep my Canon 1200D Cam, 18-55mm lens, 55-250mm lens, 50 mm Prime lens and Hoya Filter Combo (UV, CIR-P, ND), External Flash, Reverse Ring, Lens Hood in the compartments provided. Compartments can be adjusted to accommodate various types of lenses.

In addition to the above, there is provision to keep other items such as a tablet or mini laptop, Magazines, Battery Pack, Battery Charger, Memory Card Pack, External Flash Batter Charger and many other things. Overall build quality is great and can afford 15 Kg easily.

In addition to that, there is rain cover provided which will protect the gear during bad weather. I got the bag for Rs.2499 during the lightening deal and is worth more than that as per the quality.
